What the service is

Istaqdim is a directory platform that gathers licensed recruitment offices in Jordan and lets users browse the workers on offer and contact the office directly. The platform also hosts labour supply companies, whose workers are shown to offices only.

Istaqdim is not a recruitment office, not an agent, and not a party to any contract between you and an office. Every agreement about recruitment, sponsorship transfer, fees or how long the paperwork takes is between you and the office alone.

For users

Using the platform is entirely free. We take no commission and no fees from you, and any money you pay, you pay to the office directly under a direct agreement with it.

An account is optional and is only needed for favourites and notifications. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe.

When you send a request through the platform you agree that your name, phone number and request details reach the office concerned — or several offices if the request is to your own specification — so they can contact you about it.

The data shown about each worker is entered by the office. We do what we can to verify that offices are licensed, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of every piece of information an office enters, and we urge you to confirm it with them before committing to anything.

For offices

By registering your office you declare and undertake the following:

• That your office is licensed and permitted to carry out recruitment in Jordan, and that the licence number you entered is correct and valid
• That all worker data you publish is accurate and up to date
• That you have obtained each worker's consent to publishing her photos, data and videos on the platform, and that you alone bear the legal responsibility for that
• That you will not publish photos or documents carrying passport numbers, national identity numbers, or any official documents
• That you will treat the data of anyone who sends you a request as confidential, and use it to answer their request and nothing else
• That you will keep availability up to date, so that no worker stays listed after she has been recruited
• That you will not impersonate another office or publish misleading data

What you see of supply companies' files inside the platform is for your work with them. The link you send to your customer is a private, temporary link, and you are responsible for who you send it to and how it is used.

Dealings between you and a supply company are an agreement between those two parties. Istaqdim is not a party to it, does not guarantee its performance, and does not intervene in its terms.

We may suspend or delete any worker or any office that breaches the above, or where we receive a serious complaint, without prejudice to our right to take any other action.

For supply companies

By registering your company you declare and undertake the following:

• That your company exists and is permitted to carry out its business in its own country
• That the worker data you present is accurate and up to date
• That you have obtained each worker's consent to presenting her data, photos and videos to offices
• That you will not upload photos or pages carrying passport numbers or official documents
• That you will answer offices' selections within a reasonable time, noting that a selection left unanswered for seven days expires by itself
• That you will keep availability up to date

A company's workers are not shown to the public; they appear to offices inside their own dashboards only.

Subscriptions and payment

Listing workers publicly depends on a live subscription. When a subscription ends, the office's workers disappear from the site and the app; their data and photos are kept and are listed again as soon as it is renewed.

Subscriptions are paid either online through a licensed payment gateway, or by bank transfer with the receipt attached. Prices and plan durations are shown in the office dashboard before payment.

Refunds: you may request a refund of a subscription within fourteen days of its activation if the office has published no worker during that time. After that, or once publishing has begun, the remaining period is not refunded. If we suspend an office through a fault of ours, we refund the remaining period in full. Refund requests go to support@istaqdim.com.

Paid placements

An office may pay to feature a worker in a dedicated space at the top of the list for a set period. Paid placements are clearly marked "Paid placement", and payment does not affect any data shown about the worker.

Limits of liability

We provide the service as is. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available without interruption, and we accept no liability for any dispute or damage arising out of your dealings with an office, or an office's dealings with a supply company, nor for the accuracy of what is published, nor for any agreement concluded outside the platform.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Jordanian law, and the courts of Amman have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
